Post Teaser Image

In this timelapse video, I take an already pretty girl and adjust her face to even more ideal proportions. The changes appear subtle, but are striking when the images are viewed side-by-side.

Process

  1. Selectively resize areas of the face.
  2. Blend in selective resize changes with the heal tool.
  3. Clean up face with heal tool.
  4. Use overall filter to change colors.
  5. Select areas of redness, feather, and use selective coloring to pull down red.
  6. Use unsharp mask to slightly increase detail.
  7. Selective movement; digital painting to fill in gaps.
  8. Liquify face shape and components.
  9. Manually paint lip gloss, eyeliner, eyelashes.
  10. Paint lipstick; blend with hard light and decrease opacity.

She looks worse! The only thing that looks better in the after shot are her arms, which have been trimmed a little. Heh, heh, heh. But cool video!

Thanks for the feedback! I think further steps could have been taken, but hopefully I succeeded in demonstrating how to use the listed techniques for facial manipulation in Photoshop. :)

I think the result is very nice, and quite realistic. Especially your work on the eyes, lips and chin is quite well done. Subtle changes that make it obvious its still the same person, but has still improved the general look of them. Again, job well done.
